By Steve DeGraffenreidt, AP Air Race tickets can be purchased at major sporting events and even at flea markets, but not everywhere.
Here’s a look at what you need to know about the process.
Air race tickets are not required to attend the 2020 Olympic Games, but they can be obtained for some events.
To be eligible for air-race tickets, athletes must have already competed at an Olympic or Paralympic Games.
Air-race prices vary depending on the event, with some air-racer ticket packages costing $250 and others starting at $500.
The first step in obtaining a ticket is determining whether the event is sanctioned by the United States Olympic Committee or the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
There are several IOC events that air-races, including the World Cup of Cycling, the Pan Am Games, the Winter Olympics in Sochi, and the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Air-racing events are not limited to Olympic events.
The 2020 Winter Olympics are held in Pune, India, and there is a possibility that the Olympics could be sanctioned by Japan.
