The UK, which hosts the World Cup, Australia, and the United States will all be competing in the tournament in 2018, and tickets for some of the games will be sold for as low as £2,000, the official Air Travel Authority of Israel said on Monday.
“All international flights in Israel and Jordan will be allowed for the 2018 tournament,” the authority said.
It said that the most expensive ticket to Israel for a flight to the tournament would be the cheapest ticket for a ticket to the United Kingdom for a similar trip to New York City, for instance.
Tickets will also be available for travel to some of Israel’s most popular tourist attractions, such as the Eretz Yisrael National Park, the Old City, the Dead Sea and the Western Wall.
Air travel will also remain free, but ticket prices will increase by 50 percent for those travelling between the two cities.
The airline said tickets for Israeli and Jordanian citizens are priced at about the same level, although there will be slightly lower prices for Israeli residents and Israeli-Jordanian nationals.
According to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has pitted Israelis and Palestinians against each other for decades, Israeli-Israeli travel to the UK and other countries has been suspended.
But travel to Europe and the Middle East remains popular, particularly among the young, and ticket prices for some popular destinations have dropped in recent years.
In August, a British Airways ticket for flights to the French Riviera was reduced to just £1,500, according to an AFP report.
The Air Travel Agency is currently the only authority in the Middle Eastern region that is allowed to sell tickets.
