The price of tickets to Russia’s five airports are now cheaper, and they may be even more expensive for the average ticketed traveler.
A new report from the Aviationist magazine suggests that the price of a ticket to Russia from the capital of Astana is now $160.
That’s up a bit from $135 last year.
The average cost of a Russian ticket from Astana to Moscow has been $160, the report says.
The price hike comes in the wake of the recent Russian military intervention in Syria and the country’s annexation of Crimea.
While Astana has had its share of problems, the airports are not without their problems.
Russian authorities have also tightened security in recent years.
It is a little bit difficult to get around the airports as they are built in the middle of a city, the Aviationists notes.
The report also notes that some airlines have begun flying between Russia and the Black Sea ports of Vladivostok and Mariupol, but it is not clear how long this will last.
The Aviationist says that the cost of getting a Russian air ticket in the country has increased to $165 in the past year.
