Airfares are cheap compared to other countries, but the cost of living in many countries is still much higher than in other places.
So how cheap is airfare in India?

We take a look at some of these tricks and what they might mean for you.
Airfare costs for non-essential items from November 2018 – February 2019: Cheap airfare on Indian airlines: The cheapest airfows are usually for essentials.
This means that if you are travelling to the US or any other country with a standard international airport, you might pay the equivalent of US$100-200.
But you might not get much value for that money as you are likely to be on a longer flight, or in a smaller city, or on the cheapest of non-peak days.
You might pay more, but you could get more value.
The best way to save a little is to book your flight on the same day as the flight from the destination country.
A cheap flight is one that leaves at the same time as your scheduled flight.
For example, a flight from New York to Sydney is cheap if it leaves at 10pm on the evening of your scheduled trip, but cheaper if it takes off at 6am the next morning.
However you do it, it’s usually cheaper to book on the night you will be travelling, not the day you will get there.
If you have to buy a ticket at a lower price, you can often get it cheaper if you book your travel on the day of your flight.
However that means if you’re going to go to Europe and you want to book at 7am the following morning, it might be a better idea to book the day before and use the cheaper airfare when booking your ticket.
This might mean the cheapest flight is the one you book the night before, not when you arrive.
Similarly, you should always book a return flight in advance, even if you know you won’t be flying out that day.
The cheapest flight on Air India is from New Delhi to Mumbai.
The flight costs Rs 1,100 and is on a business class.
The fare is about US$200 for an economy class seat and US$300 for an extra economy class.
It leaves at 4.50am the day after your flight from Mumbai.
Air India’s cheapest flight out of New Delhi is to New Delhi.
The cost is about $400 and the flight leaves at 6.00am the same morning.
The lowest priced airfare is from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.
It costs Rs 880 and the fare is Rs 1.70.
It is on an economy, economy, or first class seat.
The return flight is Rs 2,000 and leaves at 7.50pm the day the flight takes off.
Cheap air fares on domestic flights: A domestic flight costs about US $300 and the return flight costs US $600.
This is because of the time difference between the two destinations.
However if you go to New York, you will still be in New York City for most of your trip.
You will still need to book a hotel at least 10 hours in advance.
If, however, you stay at a hotel and want to use the airfare to stay longer in New Delhi, it is cheaper to use a hotel in the city of New York and the cheapest hotel in New Mumbai.
For instance, the cheapest rate of a hotel room in New Bombay is about 25,000 rupees ($2,600).
For an air ticket in Mumbai, the hotel rate is about 1,200 rupees (US$200).
A domestic domestic flight to New Bombay costs about Rs 1-1,400.
A return domestic domestic domestic to New Mumbai cost about Rs 3,500.
Domestic domestic flights in Mumbai cost Rs 3-4,500 while domestic domestic flights from New Mumbai to New Ahmedabad cost about $7,000-8,000.
Domestic flights from Mumbai are usually cheapest in the evening and cheapest in early morning.
Domestic airfests can be booked online, either as a one-way trip or as a round-trip.
A round-tour domestic domestic airfare from Mumbai, to New Bangalore, for instance, would cost about US.$1,500-1-1.5 million.
